How to Make a Lip with Hard Wax?

Published in Waxing Techniques 1 min read

Creating a "lip" with hard wax refers to shaping the edge of the wax application for easier gripping and removal, essentially creating a small, thicker edge that you can grab. Here's how to do it:

  1. Apply Pressure: When spreading the hard wax, especially as you reach the edge of the area you're waxing, apply pressure in the direction you want the wax to go.

  2. Turn the Stick: As you approach the end of your application, turn your applicator stick.

  3. Push Down: Use the front of the stick to push down on the wax at the edge, creating a slightly thicker and more defined edge – this is the "lip." This thicker edge will provide a better grip when you remove the wax.

In essence, the key is to manipulate the wax with the applicator to create a thicker edge at the end of the strip for easy grabbing during removal.
