To turn on private browsing mode (also known as Incognito mode in Chrome) on your Android device, follow these steps:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
- To the right of the address bar (usually at the top right), tap the "More" menu icon. This icon usually looks like three vertical dots.
- Tap "New Incognito tab."
- A new window will appear. You'll know you're in Incognito mode if you see the Incognito icon (a silhouette of a person wearing glasses and a hat) in the top left corner of the screen, near the address bar.
When you're in Incognito mode, Chrome won't save your browsing history, cookies and site data, or information entered in forms. However, your activity might still be visible to websites you visit, your employer or school, or your internet service provider.
