How to Clear Cookies on Edge?

Published in Web Browsing 2 mins read

Here's how to clear cookies in the Microsoft Edge browser:

  1. Open the Edge Menu: Click the three horizontal dots (the "Settings and more" menu) in the top-right corner of the Edge window.
  2. Access Settings: Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Navigate to Cookies and Site Permissions: In the left-hand menu, click on "Cookies and site permissions." If you don't see a left-hand menu, look for three horizontal lines in the top-left corner to expand the sidebar.
  4. Manage Cookies: Under "Cookies and site data," find the section titled "Manage and delete cookies and site data." Click on "See all cookies and site data."
  5. Remove All Cookies: A new page will load displaying a list of cookies. To remove all cookies, click the "Remove all" button. A confirmation prompt will appear. Confirm your action by clicking "Clear."

Alternatively, you can clear cookies on exit:

  1. Follow steps 1-3 above.
  2. Locate "Clear data on close."
  3. Toggle the switch next to "Cookies and other site data" to the "On" position. This will automatically clear cookies every time you close Edge.

Clearing cookies can improve your privacy and security but will also require you to re-enter login information on websites you frequently visit.
