To use a Roundup spray nozzle, you first need to properly extend and activate the wand to enable spraying.
Getting Started: Activating the Spray Wand
Roundup spray products often come with a pull-out wand attached to the bottle, designed for convenience and targeted application. Before you can spray, you must prepare this wand.
Follow these steps to get your Roundup spray nozzle ready for use:
- Lift sprayer wand off bottle. Carefully remove the wand from its holder or attachment point on the bottle.
- Push the yellow button while pulling out on the wand nozzle tip. Locate the yellow button on the wand. Press and hold this button while simultaneously pulling the tip of the wand outwards.
- Fully extend the wand until the yellow button snaps into SPRAY POSITION. Continue pulling the wand outwards until it is completely extended. You should hear or feel the yellow button snap into place, indicating it is now in the designated spray position.
Important Note on Trigger Functionality
It is crucial to ensure the wand is fully extended before attempting to spray. As the reference notes:
NOTE: Trigger will not function until wand is fully extended and yellow button is visible in the SPRAY POSITION.
If your trigger is not working, double-check that the wand is pulled out all the way and the yellow button is locked into its operational position. Once the wand is correctly extended, point the nozzle at the target weed or area and squeeze the trigger to dispense the product.
