Published in Wireless Networking 2 mins read

To delete a duplicate Wi-Fi network profile on your Windows computer, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Start button: Locate the Start button in the bottom-left corner of your screen and click it.

  2. Open Network and Sharing Center: Type "network and sharing center" (or simply "network and") into the search bar. Select "Network and Sharing Center" from the search results.

  3. Manage wireless networks: In the Network and Sharing Center window, click on the "Manage wireless networks" link on the left-hand side.

  4. Select and remove the profile:

    • You will see a list of saved Wi-Fi network profiles.
    • Select the duplicate Wi-Fi profile you want to delete. Be sure it's the correct one!
    • Click the "Remove" button (or right-click the profile and select "Remove").
  5. Confirm the removal: A confirmation prompt will appear asking if you are sure you want to remove the selected network profile. Click "Yes" to confirm and delete the Wi-Fi network profile.

This process removes the saved network profile from your computer. Your computer will no longer automatically connect to this Wi-Fi network unless you manually re-enter the credentials.
