You can mask a video in Wix by applying a shape or custom SVG file to its VideoBox. Here's how:
-
Select your VideoBox: Click on the VideoBox element in your Wix Editor.
-
Click the Mask Icon: Look for and click the "Mask" icon. This will usually be represented by a shape or a mask-like symbol.
-
Choose a Mask Shape: You have a few options:
-
Select a Shape from the List: Wix provides a pre-designed list of shapes that you can choose from (e.g., circle, square, star, heart). Simply click on the shape you want to use.
-
Add from the Media Manager: Click the "Add" icon (often a plus sign '+') to open the Media Manager. This allows you to:
- Browse More Shapes and Vector Art: Explore a wider variety of shapes and vector graphics provided by Wix.
- Upload Your Own SVG File: Upload a custom SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file to use as your mask. This gives you complete control over the mask's design. Make sure your SVG file is properly formatted.
-
Once you've selected or uploaded your mask, the video within the VideoBox will be cropped to the shape you chose. You might need to adjust the video's position or scale within the mask to achieve the desired effect.
