Editing an existing Zoom meeting is a straightforward process that allows you to modify details like the topic, time, duration, security settings, and advanced options after it has been scheduled.
To edit your scheduled meeting on the Zoom client, follow these steps:
- Click on Meetings.
- Navigate to the Upcoming tab.
- Find and select the meeting you wish to edit.
- Click Edit.
This will open the meeting settings window, where you can make the necessary changes.
Once you click 'Edit', you'll be presented with the same options you had when initially scheduling the meeting. These typically include:
- Topic: Change the name of your meeting.
- When: Adjust the date and time.
- Duration: Modify the scheduled length of the meeting (note: this doesn't end the meeting automatically).
- Time Zone: Confirm or change the time zone.
- Meeting ID: Choose between a Personal Meeting ID or a generated one.
- Security: Update Passcode, Waiting Room, or Enable Join Before Host settings.
- Video: Set participant video defaults.
- Audio: Configure audio options.
- Meeting Options: Access advanced settings like enabling join before host, muting participants upon entry, automatically recording the meeting, and more.
After making your desired modifications, remember to save the changes. Zoom will then update the meeting details for all invited participants.
